Seollal : Korean New Year generally falls on the day of the second new moon after winter solstice. Korean New Year is generally the same day as Chinese New Year.

* March 1st Movement Day : one of the earliest public displays of Korean resistance during the rule of Korea by Japan from 1910 into 1945. The name refers to an event that occurred on March 1, 1919, hence the movement's name.

It'd be not easy to get transportation tickets on holidays !

Especially  Seollal and Chuseok ! I can say you can hardly move by train or bus..
